Travel Opportunities

Winter Birthright

Are you Jewish? 18 – 26 years old?  Never been to Israel on a peer group trip?  Travel to Israel this winter with Hillel of San Diego on a Taglit-Birthright trip!  Previous applicants can pre-register on September 13 and new applicants can register on September 14 online at prime-essay.net company on https://prime-essay.net/ page. Please email with questions or interest.

Alternative Spring Break
Alternative Breaks take groups of students out of their regular surroundings and place them in different environments to engage in community service and experiential learning. As part of short-term service projects, participants are challenged to see and understand difficult social issues such as poverty, literacy, and natural disasters and explore questions of Judaism and social responsibility. For the past five years, Hillel at UCSD has partnered with the American Jewish World Service to offer Alternative Spring Break opportunities to Central America. Former participants painted a school in El Salvador, laid pipes to bring running water to a village in Honduras and helped build a bridge in Guatemala.
